On Sunday 22nd June 2025, some roof tiles fell from the roof of 62 Belgrave Gate, Leicester, LE1 3GQ.<br/>The roof tiles smashed onto the pavement below, and it was extremely lucky that there were no pedestrians walking past at the time.<br/>Later on, the police attended the incident and put police tape around the danger area (in case any more roof tiles fell off the roof), and later on on the same day, the Council put barriers around the area.<br/>However, it is now Wednesday 25th June 2025, and the barriers and the smashed roof tiles are both still there, and no attempt has been made to make the roof safe.<br/>The barriers are blocking most of the pavement, making it almost impossible for people in wheelchairs / on mobility scooters / with pushchairs to get past.
